In 1963, he completed Master’s Degree in Engineering from the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany 

1963-2003 worked for ThyssenKrupp as group leader in the mathematical department; Lufthansa as OR-Analyst; Head of System Development for logistics and IT application strategy and Project Manager Information Warehouse for Airbus in Hamburg and in Toulouse. 

2004 until present: volunteering as Correspondent and Principal of Auroville Institute of Applied Technology; instrumental for the growth of the Institute and implementation of the Dual System of Training at AIAT.

Residing in Auroville; mission is Karma Yoga to empower youth with knowledge and skills for a livelihood with dignity.

Therefore I started this vocational training centre to enable also the not-so well-off youth of this rural bioregion around Auroville to receive a proper education. Help to self-help is for me the way to change things in sustainable steps.

After studying management in Germany, my home country, I ran my own business for 23 years and joined Auroville in January 1998. Since the beginning I am involved with the work of Auroville Village Action Trust and started to fundraise and build up AIAT.

I’m trained as a graduate psychologist, psychotherapist and body therapist and can look back on 30 years of professional experience with a large number of patients who sought my help in various crises. I’m also trained as a German teacher for secondary level 2 and specialized in pedagogy.

I have been accompanying AIAT in its growth since 2005.

As a professional, I work as an Executive Director of Integral World - a nonprofit enterprise - committed to the cause of social impact through organizational strategies, transformational communication, and effective actions. Within Auroville, I'm currently a member of the Auroville Town Development Council. ATDC’s mandate is to plan, develop and build the Township, implementing and monitoring development programmes and projects. I also teach at Last School, an Auroville institution based on the ideals of integral education, propounded by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. 

I am honoured to be associated with and serve the vision and mission of the Auroville Institute of Applied Technology. As executive of AIAT I'll work towards assisting AIAT scale new heights and benefit humanity at large. 

I have been involved in organic farming, horticulture, silviculture, afforestation and soil and water conservation, Watershed Management, Tank Rehabilitation and Rural Development projects since I joined the Auroville Project in its initial stages. I have successfully completed and continue to coordinate a number of projects supported by both Indian and foreigns funding agencies. Palmyra Centre has received National Groundwater Augmentation Award for year 2008 from The Ministry of Water Resources, New Delhi on.

The new direction in AIAT which the Institute is being able to explore in conjunction with PTU - Pondicherry Technical University offers exiting range of educational opportunities which are a new experience for youth in this area. We hope to meet the expectations which will be attached to this development.

Did Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Worked for the Department of Employment and Training Government of Tamil Nadu for 38 years, beginning as instructor until retirement in 2017 from the post of principal of Government ITI, Ulundurpet, district Villupuram. He was instrumental for the development of Ulundurpet ITI. Ulundurpet ITI was selected to be among the top ten ITI’s at an all India level during the year 2017-18 (10th rank in grading). Awarded as best principal by the department of Employment and Training in 2014-2015.

Joined AIAT in 2006 as accountant after completing BBA. He is responsible for finances, accounting, building maintenance, admission and examination related activities with Government institutions. He is also involved in extra curriculum activities and in marketing. He is very much engaged for the student’s cause and growth. Completed his MBA in Banking and Finance. He is a link between AIAT and the villages of the Auroville region. 

He is responsible for the maintenance of the student records, Government related administration work such as student records verification, preparation of the examination documents, daily maintenance of student attendance records, inventory and maintenance of the buildings.

M. Tech in Electronics, Engineering started my career as Assistant Professor in RGCET, Puducherry. Then, worked as Assistant Professor in CIT for two years. I believe that education is all about being excited about something. My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style. My passion and enthusiasm towards teaching helps me to carry on my educational message.

I did my B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After completing my UG I worked as site engineer in a contract company. In 2013 I came to AIAT as an instructor of the EM department. This was a turning point in my career and I started loving my role as a teacher. I really enjoy this role and I’m grateful to AIAT for giving me this wonderful opportunity to bring many young people to a right path.

I did my M. Tech in Electronics Engineering and started my career as Assistant Professor at Mailam Engineering College, Villupuram. Then I started my own project center for the students to help them to make innovative projects. Thus I got good experience in teaching and doing real time projects. Then I joined AIAT in 2017 as an Electronic Mechanic faculty member, and I am doing innovative projects like Smart Dustbin, mobile signal detector, solar charger, DC motor in series and parallel module, etc. Poor students get extra counseling and we help them to get good jobs.

MCA, M. Phil. in Computer Science; around 15+ years of experience in the area of ‘Lecturing about Computer Hardware, Networks and System Administration’.

I have done a dissertation on Analysis of BGP Vulnerability and Practical Security Implication. I’m a CCNA certification holder and can handle CISCO networking devices.

From 2006-2010 I worked for Achariya Group of World Class Education, Pondicherry as Sr. Lecturer in Cambrian College – Achariya Campus-Canada for Software Engineering Technology (SOTY) and Computer Engineering Technology (CETY) courses.

2010 until present I’m working as a facilitator for Information Communication Technology at AIAT.

Did my Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Venkatachalapathy Polytechnic, Villupuram and got my CTI certificate from Central Technical Institute, Chennai; worked as a Fitter instructor in Mahalakshmi ITI, Cuddalore and had worked for six years at Grace Infrastructure Private Ltd. Since 2018 I’m a teacher at AIAT and focus on developing the educational level of the students by concentrating more on project-based learning.

I’m a Mechanical Engineering graduate from TSM Jain college of Engineering and Technology possessing 3 years of professional experience in the industry, NICHOLAS TECH, Chennai. I had worked on a project “Semi permanent four-wheel steering”. I have a good experience on quality checking of Gauges. During my working period I had secured employer of the year award for my commitment towards the work. Currently, I’m in AIAT to empower student’s skills and to develop myself.

I completed ITI, welder in St. Joseph ITI, Cuddalore. After completion I got apprenticeship training in L and T Technology services. I went to abroad and worked in Alfanar Refrigeration Company which is in UAE for 11 years. Presently, I have joined AIAT for the well-being of myself and students.

8th STD, has been working in AIAT since the beginning of 2004.
