Workshop with Swami Satyayuktananda from the Ramakrishna Mission conducted on 1st October 2019 at AIAT.
Education should be for personality building and should not be just limited to certificate orientation and passing examination is the motto of Auroville Education based on the guidelines of The Mother.
Inspired by the workshops at Isai Ambalam School on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda AIAT-management too has decided to implement a similar concept for the ITI students, which would help students from the families with very challenging social background in their education but may also build their personality, give them more self-confidence, concentrate better on what they learn and to change their perspective from certificate to knowledge and skills.
On 1st October such an initial workshop was conducted under the guidance of Swami Satyayuktananda from the Ramakrishna Mission and Sanjeev Ranganathan, Executive Isai Ambalam School, for our students.
In this workshop 120 students from both campuses took part. The workshops are conducted in four groups each of approx. 30 students and teachers as mentors. The topics of the workshops allocated in each group to be presented by the groups are:
1. Self-condidence; 2. Secret of Concentration; 3. Art of Meditation; 4. True Education.
The students will work on these topics in groups and make a group presentation after four weeks. The best group will be awarded. To each group a teacher is allocated as mentor and the other teachers are to support the mentors in his work.
