Congratulations Bogna!

Today we got the message that the Polish/German artist BOGNA GRAZYNA JAROSLAWSKI HAS WON THE 2019 SOCIAL ART AWARD FOR THE PROJECT 'PINK SILENCE' THAT SHE DID IN 2015 WITH THE HELP OF ALL OUR STUDENTS FROM AIAT, THE WOMEN FROM AUROVILLE VILLAGE ACTION GROUP AND THE BAMBOO CENTER AUROVILLE.

We met Bogna at AIAT via Anne Schmeckies, who has brought for many years artists from Germany to us for projects with our students. And we are happy to say that the contact with Bogna continues to be.

As an artist-activist, stage designer, installation artist and dramaturge she was also working in different European places as well as in e.g. Afrika, Lebanon and Indonesia. She said: "The authenticity, even though it could be critical or political, produces impact, because it's inclusive and positive in its outreach. Everybody gets a place within a social structure."
