The Director General of Training (DGT) under the Skill Development ministry has now announced that the affiliated ITI's can begin with the admission for the new academic year 2020-2021. The last date of admission is 14/09/2020.
All candidates who have passed 10th are eligible for a 1 or 2 year course in Technical training at Auroville Institute of Applied Technology/AIAT. AIAT is the only ITI in the region offering Dual System of Training in 4 courses. Under Dual System of Training the trainees are trained for 7-8 months at AIAT in theory and practice while learning by doing on real life projects and skilled at one of our more than 9 partner companies in industrial processes for 4-5 months a year.
DGT writes: DST helps enable industry linkages and provide hands on experience to students on industries latest/updated technologies. The trainee who are awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC) under the scheme have an edge over regular ITI pass outs in terms of employability and employment opportunities in industry.
